I just wasted $3 trying to find a "clean" version of Katy Perry's Hot n Cold for my 6 year old daughter. The version that is played on the radio is obviously cleaned up enough for kids to listen to but Amazon does not offer a version of this song that is suitable for kids. What a waste of money and time!!!

This hot single is a great bouncy beat, with Katy singing over it in her unique voice. If you don't mind some foul words, you'll find a fun track. Katy Perry should stick to these more upbeat tracks. Her slower ones reveal her vocal weaknesses. Here, they are not apparent, which is all the better.

My daughter listens to a clean version on the radio but we were unaware the download version is not the same and is not appropriate for kids. I just threw away a buck since I had to delete it as soon as I listened to the downloaded version. Since Amazon doesn't have the clean version, I will have to buy it elsewhere.

I heard this song through the speakers of a retail store. It's funny I was able to actually find it because all I remembered was one phrase: "you're up and you're down." LOL. After doing a Google search for lyrics, I found it. This song is so catchy, I decided to buy it. May 5, 2009 UPDATE: I have a high quality Altec Lansing 621 2.1 100 watt RMS computer speaker set. I have listened to this MP3 several times and it is of poor quality. I can barely understand the singer. The problem is that it's a joint stereo MP3. Joint stereo MP3's share some code between the 2 stereo channels. They tend to have problems with middle frequencies. The voice is distorted. In addition, the highs are too sharp and I had to turn the highest frequency, 15K Hz, way down on my 10 band equalizer. All MP3's sold should be true stereo, not joint stereo. Amazon's specs claim 256 Kbits, not true either. This is a variable bit rate MP3. As long as the overall bit rate is above 230 Kbits, that's fine. However, I prefer just a straight 256 Kbit rate MP3. Amazon is saving VERY LITTLE bandwidth by changing the MP3 to joint stereo and variable bit rate. The size of the MP3 IS ONLY REDUCED BY A VERY SMALL AMOUNT. Yet, the quality IS GREATLY AFFECTED. These are the specs for this MP3: Joint Stereo Time Length: 3:40.3 Size: 6,651,218 Bytes Average Bit rate: 239 Kbits Lowest Estimated Bit rate: 160 Kbits Highest Estimated Bit rate: 320 Kbits We often read on the 'Net how the RIAA's corporate members were constantly suing everyone for illegally downloading their music. Now the RIAA has made deals with ISP's creating a "3 Strike Program." If you're caught by your ISP illegally downloading content 3 times, the ISP terminates your connection. Yet, the songs they sell are of poor quality. I paid for this song, it should be clear and distortion free.

OMG IVE LISTENED TO THIS SONG 904 TIMES ON MY IPOD IN JUST A MONTH CLEARLY AN AMAZING SONG AND ADD THAT THE THE CONTINUIOUS 2 AND A HALF WEEKS AS #1 ON ITUNES TOP 10!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!
